Comments Note: This is a simulation of the upcoming Solar Eclipse as will be seen from Perth Western Australia, using one of my existing images of the Sun and some photo shop work. I have NOT shown the Sun rotating during the time taken for the moon to travel across the face of the sun, something I was pleased to observe when watching Mercury transit the Sun in 2006 . Here is some data to plan your observation. Please remember to use the correct techniques if you observe the sun. Failure to do so will damage your eyesight and your equipment.
